Vivek AgarwalThis essay cover's experiences of the widows from Ukraine's war, start with author premise of helping then showing compassion, but later on it revealed the this thinking was to shallow. the whole philosophy of treating trauma, despair or dipresion as temporary part of life is challenged where the loss and death move along with the life.

Vivek AgarwalTrauma is a form of initiation rather than distortion of the reality. We are connected deeply with the person we love, we live through them, and death of the one destroys them, taking the part of the living away.

Vivek AgarwalI agree with author philosophy of that death takes places in multiple stages, it unfolds. When we lose something, our loved one, our pet, parents, something inherently changes. It affects our behavior, decision, and how to perceive things. Sometimes on our loss, we feels more compensate with others sharing the same fate. We start to live with that pain itself.

Vivek AgarwalOne idea which stood out to me is our behavior with the people who are suffering, carrying the trauma of losing someone close. How everything around it looks so similar around the world. People turn away from them, gives condolences, tell them to get over with trauma. The things is that everyone goes through the similar trauma sometimes, still how everyone's response is so distant.
