Arrangements

Seven players — Ira, Jai, Kavya, Lalit, Mira, Nikhil and Omar — sit in a circle facing the centre (not necessarily in that order) and pass a token over 8 rounds. A player's IMMEDIATE RIGHT neighbour is the next player clockwise. In each round the holder passes the token to one of four players: one to the right (R1, the immediate clockwise neighbour), two to the right (R2), one to the left (L1, the immediate anticlockwise neighbour), or two to the left (L2). 'k-th to the left' means k places anticlockwise. Ira makes the first pass of Round 1; after Round 8 the token is held by Mira. The table gives, for some rounds, the pass type and/or the receiver; '?' marks unknown. Round 1: type L2, receiver Kavya. Round 2: type ?, receiver Nikhil. Round 3: type ?, receiver Lalit. Round 4: type ?, receiver Mira. Round 5: type ?, receiver ?. Round 6: type ?, receiver Lalit. Round 7: type ?, receiver Jai. Round 8: type R2, receiver Mira.
